My name is Trace Miller - Founder of Innate Wisdom: Transformational Healing. I am a Certified MindBody Practitioner & Holistic Healing Coach, as well as a Certified Shamanic Practitioner.  I specialize in helping individuals recover from chronic pain and symptoms by educating them on the neuroscience of pain (how the brain and nervous system effects chronic pain/symptoms) and the interconnectedness of our physical and emotional well-being. I teach people who are feeling hopeless and unsupported how to achieve long-lasting healing.  Understanding the root cause of chronic issues is an empowering first step towards healing. With a focus on mind-body medicine, I guide my clients through a process that not only educates but transforms, allowing for profound healing once the connection between mind, body, and spirit is realized and nurtured.

What inspired you to specialize in recovery and relief from chronic pain and symptoms?
My journey into the realm of holistic healing was born from personal health challenges—facing chronic pain and symptoms that the conventional medical system declared incurable. I eventually found a way to healing on my own accord, when I realized the cause is MindBody Syndrome (MBS), also called TMS or PPD, which is extremely common with chronic conditions of all sorts. From the success of my own healing journey, I am extremely inspired and motivated to help others and provide the guidance necessary for one's recovery. It is hard to do it alone, and too many people are suffering unnecessarily. People need to be empowered as too many have been told 'they have live it' or that their condition is un-healable. It's harmful, creates hopelessness and is simply not true in many cases. Connecting the mind, body and spirit is crucial to healing to chronic issues and for ultimate well-being. I want to use my hardships and transformation to help others recover.

Can you share a bit about your personal journey and how it led you to focus on this?
Of course. I call myself a ‘Life Alchemist’.  Through many trials and tribulations throughout my life, I have learned to transform hardships into empowerment, growth and healing. I have always been a seeker with endless curiosities to learn and live life to the fullest. Life is our best education. My life experiences – which took me through 40+ countries - traveling, backpacking solo, volunteering, living overseas – have filled me up with knowledge, education, perspective, and confidence as well as humility, much deeper than simply sitting in a classroom would have done (though I have done lots of that too). 

Furthermore, I’ve experienced divorce, homelessness, dis-ease, isolation, endless wanders, discrimination, shame, self-hatred, wondering where the heck do I belong, and so forth. All these were big stressors and wreaked havoc on my system, unknowingly. Additionally, a lifetime of emotional repression and being highly sensitive and a people-pleaser also created massive stress. All this stress cause chronic physical manifestations of dis-ease. I know this now because of my healing and learning. 

I healed myself of chronic conditions including Raynaud’s, skin issues, blood clot , fatigue, and depression, through my own will, learning and tenacity. I also had an inner knowing – that the body is built to thrive and heal! My body was speaking to me. I needed to dive deeper, and once I found out about mind-body medicine, it opened me up to a new perspective and  the true healing began. 

I now recognize what causes issues to be chronic, and I approach healing with trust, compassion and understanding. It excites me tremendously to share this knowledge, and effective mind-body practices with others suffering form chronic pain and symptoms.

I provide this guidance, this service, because I have confidently honed my life experiences, my healing, and education. My guidance encompasses my teachings, transformations and wisdom into an unique, authentic offering of mentorship and coaching like no other.

In what ways have you found affirmations to be beneficial in the recovery process?
Affirmations are critical in any healing journey because they create a new belief system and a new way of thinking. Every thought effects us at a cellular level, it effects our mental and physical well-being. So bringing more awareness and positivity into our mental landscape is a crucial first step in changing our reality, our perspectives, our insecurities - our health. We ARE what we think, literally. Our thoughts come from our beliefs - affirmations start to create new beliefs about ourselves and our life, even if we don’t believe them first. Repetition of affirmations changes our neural pathways - they re-wire our brain, which is essential for any recovery and change. I use them daily personally and with my clients regularly.

Are there affirmations you find helpful to those struggling with chronic pain?
Feel it, don’t fear it.
Feel it to heal it.
Breathe into the sensation/pain with loving kindness.
I am not defined by my pain.
I release tension and embrace relaxation.
I replace fear with curiosity and compassion.
I am safe.
With every little step, I am healing.
My body is built to heal and thrive.
I am capable of healing.
I embrace my sensations/pain with acceptance and trust.

What is your favorite affirmation, and why does it resonate with you?
The Power is within Me! This affirmation is all encompassing with one's healing. Often people give their power away to other authorities, professionals or people. Healing comes from within and the power is always available for everyone - they just have to connect with their Innate Wisdom.
